I'm going to be in San Francisco next week for a technology conference and decided to stick around for a couple extra days to catch some films at the festival. I've order twelve tickets but am excited about fewer than half of them, partly because the lineup is a bit underwhelming, partly because my schedule prevents me from seeing some of the more interesting selections. But it's April in San Francisco and the university is covering most of my expenses, so I ain't complaining. Well, maybe I'm complaining a little. I'm fated to never see the new Assayas and Martel films, apparently.
I'm getting in early Saturday afternoon and will be around for a week, so drop me a line if you want to meet up.

Hi Darren. I'll be seeing BLUEBEARD on the 25th, too, and maybe EVERYTHING STRANGE AND NEW the day after. You're seeing some of the films I caught on screener and really liked, namely OBLIVION, WILD FIELD, OUR BELOVED MONTH OF AUGUST and THE OTHER ONE.
