Somehow it's seeped in their conscience that, you know, my attitude was just simply Stay the course. Stay the course means let's get the job done, but it doesn't mean staying stuck on a strategy or tactics that may not be working. So perhaps I need to do a better job of explaining that we're constantly adjusting.
I'm pretty sure he meant to say "consciousness" rather than "conscience." Paging Dr. Freud.
EDIT: I've added a new collection of Songs of the Moment. Consider them election-inspired.
Oh, and one other thing. I added a blog to Long Pauses on September 6, 2002. Four years later, it looks like someone other than us "anti-American" opponents of the war are finally going to ask the tough questions that should have been asked back then.
