Cleaning out my bookmarks. Apologies to the link-suppliers, most of whom I've forgotten. Chances are they came from the sites listed there on the right.
Live Music Archive — an impressive and ever-expanding repository of live music, all free and ready for the taking. The Internet is a wonderful thing because of sites like this.
Winning Argument — a blog for Democrats who are looking to score easy points in water cooler conversations. A nice resource for highly partisan information.
In the Penthouse of the Ivory Tower — Gideon Lewis-Kraus's first-person account of the most recent Modern Language Association conference. Published in The Believer, the article has, of course, fed many a blog.
Reverse Shot — the latest is devoted to Richard Linklater. After watching both Before Sunrise and Before Sunset (my new favorite of 2004) this week, I'm now more-than-ready to dig into this issue.
The MP3Blogs Aggregator — like the name says. So much free and interesting music.
Lake Wobegon hits the screen — probably. And what a perfect choice for a director: Robert Altman. "Keillor wrote the screenplay about life backstage at the radio show. The movie is expected to star Meryl Streep and Lily Tomlin as a fading sister duet act and Tom Waits and Lyle Lovett as Dusty and Lefty, the singing cowboys."
1984: An Introduction — The writers at City Pages wax nostalgic about the year I turned twelve and listened to way too much Van Halen.
